Abiola Ajimobi, former Oyo state governor, is dead.
The 70-year-old, who had been on a life-support machine at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos since last Friday after falling into a coma following complications with Coronavirus, finally died on Thursday.
On Monday, SaharaReporters had been informed by a credible source close to the ex-governor that Ajimobi had been on life support machine after he fell into a deep coma and recovery going by the observations of medical experts around him.
The source further revealed that since being rushed to the Lagos hospital, the former Oyo governor had had a lung surgery but made no progress, while his kidneys also failed.
It was reliably gathered by doctors treating Ajimobi, Informed his family last Friday that his situation had defied every medical intervention and that only a miracle could bring him back to life.
Unfortunately, Abiola Ajimobi passes on today. RIP!
