Former BBnaija housemate, khafi opens up on being a victim of rape, following the rape case of Uwadia Omozuwa’s.
The 31-year-old star took her twitter page to share her experience in the hands of a rapist.
The guy who raped her, she claims, is someone who she normally believes in. Gedoni, the retired police officer who is engaged with another ex-bbnaija, said she kept it a secret because the rapist begged her not to tell anyone.
While she feels dirty and embarrassed to talk to someone about the incident, the Nigerian-British added that she has finally gained the confidence to speak out.
She tweeted;
“WhyIDidntReport – because he apologised right after. Because I made myself believe him being drunk was an excuse. Because the one person I did tell said I caused it. Because I felt dirty and ashamed. #WeAreTired
Yes this did happen to me. I’m sharing in the hope that others will feel no shame in sharing what happened to them. Please don’t deflect or say it is not my story when it was already hard enough sharing it.”
