‘Son of God’ is the title of a new body of work by Bang Hits Music Singer “Barry Jhay”.
The 7-track EP follows up on a contentious 2021 and is expected to cement his status as one of Africa’s top music superstars.
Barry opens the EP with ‘Level Up,’ a trap track on which he honors the never-die hustle attitude of every teenager in recent times, breaking slightly from his customary Afro-pop style.
On the focus track ‘Story,’ he draws us in with proverbial lyrics in a diaristic tale.
He enlists Zlatan for a remix of his Ampiano hit single ‘Ayewada,’ a joyous song about being free of difficulties, which was released in 2021.
On ‘Right By You,’ Barry sings of love and reassurance with Kuami Eugene, and closes with ‘Bless Me,’ committing his heart’s wishes to God’s hands.
